Social media MCP

Socify exposes a Streamable HTTP Model Context Protocol server so agents can list endpoints and fetch public social data with the same Bearer key as the REST API.

Endpoints

Prefer the API host for MCP. The web origin proxies the same path.

Authentication

Send the same header as REST lookups. Create keys in Dashboard → API keys.

Authorization: Bearer $SOCIFY_KEY

Tools

  • list_endpoints — platforms, resources, params, and credit costs. Call this when you are unsure which tool to use.
  • lookup — { platform, resource, params } for a generic fetch. Consumes credits like REST.
  • Per-endpoint tools — one tool per catalog resource for clearer agent discovery (same credits and auth).

Example flow

  1. Connect with Streamable HTTP to the MCP URL above.
  2. Call list_endpoints if needed.
  3. Call lookup or a platform-specific tool (for example Instagram profile).

Successful lookups return the same JSON envelope as REST (ok, data, meta). Failed or unauthorized calls follow the same status codes as the errors guide.

Credits

MCP uses your monthly credit balance. Typical cost is 1+ credits per successful lookup. HTTP 402 means top up via pricing. Details in Credits.
